Development Update
First of all, we'd like to apologize for our previous development update.
Some time ago, we mentioned that animation production would begin soon. Unfortunately, development didn't go exactly as planned.
As we continued working on the project, we realized there were still several core systems, production workflows, and technical foundations that needed to be completed before starting full-scale animation. Making major changes after animations have already been created would require a significant amount of rework, so we decided it was better to invest more time now to ensure a stronger and more efficient production pipeline.
Although this has delayed animation production, we believe it is the right decision for the long-term quality of Rewind Desires.
The good news is that this pre-production phase is finally nearing completion. If everything goes according to plan, we expect to begin full animation production around mid to late this month.
Please note that this does not mean the next major game update will be released immediately. The next major playable update is currently planned for late this year, as it will include a substantial amount of new content built on top of everything we've been preparing over the past several months.
What's Coming in the Next Major Update
Here are some of the features currently planned for the next major release:
Fast Travel returns. Even though the current world is still relatively small, we want to establish the system early so players know it will continue to expand as the game grows.
A brand-new Mobile Phone system.
Further improvements to the combat system, making battles more engaging and satisfying.
More story development leading into intimate scenes, giving them stronger narrative context.
New boss battles.
Seamlessly connected maps with little to no loading between areas.
New locations to explore along with additional enemy types.
Looking Ahead
We also have many more systems planned for the future. However, we'd like to introduce them gradually as the story progresses so they feel meaningful and naturally integrated into the game.
Some of the features we're considering include:
A clothing system.
Character progression that allows certain characters to gradually develop exhibitionistic tendencies, depending on the story and player choices.
Expanded interactions with NPCs throughout the world.
A reputation system that reflects the player's actions and decisions.
The past few months have largely been spent rebuilding our development pipeline rather than creating visible content. While this may not have been immediately apparent, it will allow us to produce future content more efficiently and at a much higher quality.
Thank you for your patience and continued support. Every bit of encouragement helps us move one step closer to the game we've always envisioned.
