Hi patrons!!
Those of you who are still here know that I haven't been posting here in a long time, so first of all huge thanks to patrons past and present and I apologise for giving you nothing for some time now. There are many reasons that contributed to me eventually treating Patreon as a kind of tip jar and nothing else that I won't bore you with except to say that I ended up losing all interest in utilising the platform.
I've been thinking lately about artistic (and content-related) goals for the future, and I have come up with some stuff I'm really excited to try out and experiment with in the near future. When Instagram started really pushing reels earlier this year I noticed a sizeable dip in attention, engagement, etc and generally seeing social media go through these sudden changes has made me consider my work in a different way. My major thing for a pretty long time has been "try to draw one or two images and post them", and while I still love doing that, I want to find ways to really allow myself to experiment, to push myself to be a better artist, AND to revitalise some of the content forms that I've become distanced from.
I'm making a vlog where I talk a bit more about this, and I plan to post that on the 1st of January (yeah it's new years hype babey!!) but essentially I am:
1. Hoping to focus on some larger projects and make them a priority in my ~art practice~
2. Scheduling in regular YouTube videos. Gonna make myself do this as a habit. The goal at present is to make small animated videos and art/life focused chill vlogs roughly weekly, and I'll adjust that based on what works when it's in motion.
3. Use Patreon! Yes, that's right. I have two main things that I'm gonna be doing going forward that I think are fun and at least give me a little something to try out for this place, instead of just neglecting it. I'm going to make:
Weekly Illustrated Newsletter posts.
This is just going to be a little roundup of my week - what I've been working on, what my goals are that week, little bits of progress and personal stuff. I think it's a nice way to show you a little bit more of my process than I usually post, and I love doing a little journal page. I'll post the first one on December 26th!
Edit: I'm also gonna post these on my Instagram 'subscribers' feed because I have a few subscribers there and it makes sense :^)

Monthly wallpapers & icons
So, I tried this before and I really liked doing it. I think at this point, just given some stylistic looseness I've been able to develop in recent months, I'm probably in a better place going into these designs, but I'm gonna treat it like a serious challenge and consider designing these to be an important part of practicing my CRAFT and my WORK. The plan is to post these on the 1st and 15th of each month, maybe alternating wallpapers vs icons.
