Hello!
New set of poses for this month's characters!
Keeping Balrog and Verminlord WIPs off of patreon for now because of the Angry Company. Complete set sent out through the usual way.
For the Balrog, I'd say most remember it from the 'you shall not pass!' scene against Gandalf. But I think that's been pretty well covered so I wanted to try something a little different. What's more interesting to me is that moment when the Dwarves 'dug too deep', unleashing the Balrog and sealing Moria's doom.
I've seem one or two very grainy images of this event, but I felt it deserved more attention, so I created an entire diorama where the Balrog did it's best Kool-Aid Man impression. I even created bunch of Dwarves with horrified expressions as they realized their greed has come to bite them where it hurts. Come to think of it, I'd pay money to see Peter Jackson make a film entirely about this event. 'The Massacre in Moria' - working title. 😅
Onto the poses for the Verminlord! Tons of different poses with weapon and head options with too many permutations to show. But here are a couple of ways you can mix and match to make them look epic. 🤩
These monstrosities are actually huge - for scale I included Gotrek in the WIPs so you can see the actual size difference if he were actually fighting one of them. Actually, come to think of it, Gotrek did kill one in Verminslayer so bonus points for lore accuracy! And yes, I did make a new pose for Gotrek so community members can see a Verminlord screaming in terror as it becomes another statistic. 😄
And finally, here are updates for the Griffin and the rider! As I mentioned in my last post, I envisioned her riding the Griffin into battle and unleashing a storm of arrows at the enemy. Community members can choose between armored and unarmored versions of the Griffin as well! But you can field them separately and the rider will also come with different melee poses so I'd like to think these characters will have high utility in an campaign you put them in.
