"Lightly As A Feather"
And here it is, Light getting the karma he deserves! This is probably in complete disregard of the events of the series proper, but like I've said before, I haven't finished the series and only vaguely know some of what ultimately happens; I just thought the scenario of an attractive villain tickled while bound in a straitjacket or in a prison cell would be fun to try. It's interesting that before this point, pretty much every single focal character I ever drew for the Patreon rewards was heroic, but given that I was focusing on the main characters of the series they were from, it was rather unavoidable - but given that Light is very much a "Villain Protagonist" as TV Tropes puts it, getting to draw a proper tickling punishment felt so damn refreshing. I really should try finding more series with main characters who are both sexy AND villainous, because I'd be down for trying something like this again in the future!
I had a lot of fun with the effects for this one, namely trying to simulate both the lighting of the original scenes this was inspired by and the way the shadows of the jail cell bars interact with the rest of the scene. I think it came out quite nicely for a bit of a rush job! That being said, there ended up being quite a bit of negative space in the final pic, so while I did debate on adding dialogue or just going without, I decided it'd be fun to try and elaborate a bit on what's going on here by adding what everyone is saying (dialogue reads left-to-right, top-to-bottom) - though in the process I ended up going too far in the opposite direction and obscured a lot more of the actual pic than I wanted. I had to make the text readable and have the detectives wax philosophical, though, and the text-less versions are probably a fair trade-off. And yes, I know, this dialogue is no doubt totally out of character for everyone, but I already broke the canon by putting Light in the straitjacket instead of Misa anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter too much by this point. Let's just say that this is from an alternate timeline where Light ended up being a bit too clever by half and got busted sooner...
I'm also undergoing the slow, tedious, and excruciating process of adding /M and /F tags to every reward piece (and in fact, probably every single illustrated work on my Patreon as well) to make things a little easier to catalogue for those of you who want to see only the /F or only the /M work I've done. I'll probably end up doing so gradually given how little spare time I have right now, but it'll be taken care of soon enough, I swear. I figured making it easier to sift through my Patreon archive for specific content you want would help make it more easily digestible, though come to think of it, I haven't done any reward pieces yet with both a male AND a female ticklee in the same pic, so I might consider setting up something like that later just to add a /FM tag as well. Perhaps I might even end up trying that out for this year's Remake Month!
