👀--Girl can’t even be sad properly
I made this comic a little while ago, during a full-on Dark Sasuke phase where I’d sit in a dark corner whispering “itashiro no desu” while listening to One Step Closer by Linkin Park. Don’t worry though, I’m doing very well now. ❤️
I just never managed to post it because I couldn’t find the right title or caption to go with the joke. Then, in a pretty weird way, it all came to me this morning. Sometimes inspiration hits like the sudden urge to poop.
This happens to me a lot. I’ll finish a comic and keep it tucked away until I find that little spark, the title, the caption, the thing that makes it all click. Sometimes the right hook changes everything: how people understand the scene, how much they relate to it, and even whether they’ll feel like sharing it.
That’s something I’ve learned over time on social media. A comic can be great, but if you post it with a meh caption or at a completely awful time, it can totally disappear into the void. People simply don’t come across it, don’t necessarily get the angle, or don’t see themselves in the situation.
Sometimes even the music makes all the difference, especially on Instagram. And quite often, I just don’t have the right song yet. Then one day I’ll be listening to my Spotify playlist and suddenly stumble across the perfect track.
So rather than desperately trying to post everything while it’s still fresh, sometimes it’s better to wait until the right thing finally shows up.
Anyway, did you recognize the reference? 👀
