Hello Patrons,
I hope you're all doing well. I've been enjoying the nice spring weather. Well, it's almost summer now. Man, where does the time go? How's the weather been in your part of the world?
I've been working away on the new update. I first started porting some maps and items I needed for the episode. I want to make sure I have assets that match my writing before I start writing dialogue. These assets are pretty nice. It took me days to port and set them up, but it'll be worth it. You can't have beautiful characters and ugly backgrounds, right? It does get a little more challenging given the episode's setting, but I'm determined to stay as close as I can to my original script. I've even watched a couple of specific shows and documentaries lately to get into the mood and get the feel of what I'm going for. I think it's going to be a great episode, and I'm excited to bring it to life.
I've also done a good chunk of the dialogue and writing for the episode. Which is mostly what I've been working on the past week or two. It's rewarding to read the scene afterward, but I have to make sure I take breaks and do a couple of renders or something. It's not easy for me to write for hours and hours on end like I can when I'm working on renders. But overall, it's not a big deal, I'm just sharing my experience working on the update.
I think it's going to be a great episode with some action, the other kind of action, some big plot progression, some cute moments, and much more. I go into more details about the episode in a future dev update post.
I hope you all have a nice day!
