Hello Patrons!I hope you're all doing well. I've been good. I'm loving the weather we're getting here the past week. It cooled down, and it's been sunny and in the 70s. Not too hot, not too cold. Loving it! I've been going for walks on the local trails every morning before work, and it's been great. I've also been enjoying watching the World Cup. I think it's been great watching all the countries of the world get together and have a great. This may be the closest we'll come to world peace.😅I've locked in and been working on Ripples every day. It's been going good. I finished all the writing, dialogue, menu choices, and the coding that goes with it. But I'm having a little bit of a dilemma. I have a lot written! For example, this could be either a smaller episode or a really big one. There isn't really an in-between, because, as you guys know, I'm very particular about where I end the episode. You know that I love either a good, solid conclusion or an epic cliffhanger. 😄 We can revisit this after I reach that first ending and see how long it takes me and how I feel about the content already finished. Maybe I can let you guys vote on it. But personally, I really like the 2nd part of the update and kinda want to include it. I know I've said I want to make smaller updates so you guys don't have to wait as long but it's not as easy as I thought. What do you guys think?
I've been actively trying to improve my writing and grammar during my break after the last episode, reading and watching videos on ways to improve it, without changing the tone or anything. I just want to make conversation flow better and have exchanges more fun, and all that. And I think I have improved in that area, and I think I wrote some of the best dynamics between characters in any episode. Like, I actually made myself laugh out loud several times writing it, and that doesn't really happen with my own writing. I'm talking about a particular scene in the latter part of the episode, but I think the other parts also improved. But I'm really like the scene I'm thinking of. And I think you guys will really enjoy it, feel rewarded, and feel the payoff of the scene. At least, that's what I'm hoping. So anyways, I think the writing is solid in this episode and I'm looking forward to putting it all together.I can go into more detail later, as I'm creating the scenes, and maybe reveal which characters will appear in the next update besides the two obvious ones.
