One of the design pillars for Lustrya has always been to create a cozy, low-stress experience where player time is respected, rather than punishing mistakes. That philosophy has shaped our direction for Cumbat, the game's core story progression mechanics, but we'd absolutely love to hear where you stand before we lock things in.
Imagine you encounter a Lustress and things... don't quite go according to plan. How would you prefer the game to handle that outcome?
🔄 Option 1 — Retry Until You SucceedFailing the encounter simply lets you retry until you win. No lasting consequences.
➡️ Option 2 — Failure Still Moves the Story ForwardEven if you lose, you still recruit the Lustress and continue progressing through the game.
📉 Option 3 — Failure Moves the Story Forward, But With a Small CostEven if you lose, you'll still recruit the Lustress and continue progressing, but you'll earn fewer rewards and lose a small amount of currency.
Feel free to tell us why you picked your choice in the comments! We're especially interested in what feels the most satisfying while keeping Lustrya relaxing, rewarding and fun to replay.
Early concept only — the Cumbat UI and visuals shown here are still in the early stages of development and will be further refined, polished and improved for the final version.
