Greetings,
last week I worked on the extra scene which is nearly finished. I need some more filler shots and will add some animation variations before I give it to review. To be fair, there isn't that much dialogue that needs much attention. So as this is far less complex than the usual episode dialogues I guess this won't take long.
I added one more variation for finishing the scene as teased above.
I started sketching the first episode for the next season. As next week is another Blender week and I'm mostly done with the character conversions I want to progress as far as I can, so I can start on setting up the first scene and do the "first" test renders where I want to checkout how to setup my post processing pipeline where I do my color grading and layer other elements.. In theory I could do that in Blender as well but the image and video editing tools in Blender aren't on par with industry standard software yet.
For this I want to switch from Adobe After Effects to DaVinci Resolve/Fusion and they just got a new update that enables better handling of .exr multilayer files and crypto mattes which I'm using. So that's quite a fortunate timing but I have to check it out first, but it looks promising.
I hope I can match the look of my "old" images while trying to up the quality.
