[Season Andromeda] Progress Update XXXIX
DESCRIPTION

Greetings,

as my vacation will start soon this will be my last post for a while. Last week I did learn more about physics and animating in Blender.

Jiggle, bounce and squish

While it's still not perfect, I'm pretty happy with the physical results for now. On the low res models it looks a bit janky and jittery but on the high res models with some more quality steps for the simulation in looks quite decent. Also in the example all the secondary motions like head movement and all that stuff is missing. It was just a test for the squishy stuff. The image above is a touched up version of a frame from the animation in the link. I didn't manage to render the entire shot yet, it would take to long at the moment.

Animating in Blender however is much more straight forward than it used to be in Daz3D and also the movement is more stable. No sliding hands or jittering ankles. One thing I need to get a hold on is how to seamlessly loop the soft body physics. That's something for another day.

Vacation

As I mentioned in a previous post I have quite a lot of vacation days and quite a few overtime hours left which I have to take off in this year. So I'll take that for some travelling for the majority of September and October.

This also means I'll be pausing the payment cycle for those 2 months.

After my vacation

When I'm back I'll start rendering the first episode of the next season.

Steam release will be mid November, I want to give me some more time for marketing when I'm back from vacation.

Well, thank you very much for your support everyone. I hope you'll have a good time as I'll try to make sure I'll have during my vacation. Until next time.

Kind regards,Marvellous Lunatic
