Hello, everyone.
As I talked about before, I will soon begin releasing a new short VN. I intend to make the first release for Dandy Patrons and above once I've got at least 1.5 releases done, so as to be ahead of schedule at all times, which SHOULD be soon.
Which is why I wanted to talk a little about this project, titled "A Thoughtless Embrace"! First, here's a brief synopsis with a few renders to get the point across!
And since some of these renders are hot, the rest of the post will be for paying patrons only~
"A Thoughtless Embrace", a short NTR story about childhood friends
Samuel, Ann and Oliver used to form a trio of close-knit friends during high school. The three were inseparable, despite their different personalities: Samuel was nerdy, Ann studious, and Oliver flippant. Somehow, they managed to form a close friendship with one another.
After graduation, Samuel and Ann began dating, while Oliver mysteriously fell off the grid. Their relationship evolved slowly and steady... and 5 years later, as working adults, the two of them are now enjoying their lives living together.
One night, Ann decides to walk her boyfriend Samuel to the station, as he's about to leave on a two-nights trip to visit his folks. Alone at their apartment for the first time, Ann begins to fret about their relationships perhaps being close to stagnating, despite how comfortable they both feel.
And on the way back home, who would she meet but her old friend Oliver, who has come back to their hometown after 5 years away. The two old friends decide to catch up, as both Ann and Oliver share with each other what has been going on with their lives. Their banter is friendly, but there is a certain tension that cannot be shaken away...
And as Samuel sits on that train, thinking about his wonderful girlfriend...
...Things at their apartment begin to escalate. A conversation between old friends slowly veering towards intimacy. What could have brought this on? Why is Ann allowing this to happen? Why is she pretending nothing lewd is going on? And why has Oliver returned just now, after 5 whole years?
It all begins with an innocent, thoughtless embrace.
The Idea and a Challenge
So I came up with the idea for this story for two reasons. One, I wanted to do something with a slightly different tone than KoS, with a female protagonist that might be a bit of Mary's opposite in many senses. I felt it would be an appropriate palate cleanser so I can later feel more refreshed when coming back to KoS.
But I also wanted to challenge myself a little.
You guys know I'm a wordy developer. I add a lot of words to my script! And I'm aware that one of my favorite techniques involves a lot of narration and inner thoughts/voices to convey how the characters are feeling the whole time.
Which is why, for this project, I intend to do the complete opposite: no narration or inner thoughts, just dialogue.
The idea is to leave the character's thoughts, particularly Ann's, as a mystery, so you can draw your own conclusions to what motivates her actions.
To bring this a step further, I also decided on a gimmick: while the sexy/lewd stuff happens, neither Ann nor Oliver will directly address their physical actions, instead talking as if there was nothing different going on (for the most part). A friend told me it was similar to the free-use kink, so you can get an idea. Of course, I intend to convey a lot through body language and expressions. It's a bit of a challenge in every single aspect, hahaha!
When Does it Come Out?
The first part will be out next week, for Dandy Patrons and above ($5). I have 3 releases planned, and I will alternate between this and King of Summer until it is complete.
I believe the first release should be almost as big as a regular KoS full update, give-or-take.
