The whispers started the moment Alyssa walked into the Alpha Phi house after winter break. She was wearing a tank top and shorts that had once been her go-to outfit for lazy Sundays. Now, that outfit served only to emphasize her thickening middle, the waistband of the shorts digging into soft flesh and displaying a rapidly growing roll of pudge.

"Oh god," Samantha murmured to Kayla, her eyes widening as she took in the sight of Alyssa's ensemble. "Bless her heart...do you think she somehow doesn't realize?"

"The poor thing," added Harper.

Kayla tilted her head, a calculating look in her eye as she watched Alyssa make her way to the kitchen. "I don't know," she said slowly. "But someone should really say something. That outfit is not doing her any favors."

"Right?" Harper nodded, an ungenerous note creeping into her voice. "I mean, her little muffin top situation is just getting...unfortunate."

Alyssa's accelerating weight gain had not gone unnoticed by her sorority sisters. For months, they had watched with a mix of concern and schadenfreude as their superstar freshman had softened and spread.

At first, the changes had been subtle - a little extra tits-and-ass even adding to her allure. But as the weeks had turned into months, the indulgences piled up.

Gone were the effortlessly flat stomach and toned thighs that had been nearly universal among Alpha Phi's cadre of freshman hotties. Gone was that famously perfect ass. Now, Alyssa's belly and love handles spilled over the waistband of her jeans, and dimples had appeared on her thickening thighs. Her softer backside had lost its famous shape and now just looked overstuffed in her jeans. In her go-to outfits, her muffin top was, increasingly, a situation.

And yet, Alyssa kept squeezing herself into too-tight tops and too-short shorts with a desperate commitment. Perhaps she thought that if she just ignored the weight, it would somehow go away on its own.

But the older girls knew better. They had seen this happen before - the slow slide from tight hottie to chubby afterthought that had claimed plenty of pledges before Alyssa.

Their gossip was petty, perhaps. Uncharitable, even. But some of her sisters did not mind seeing her knocked down a peg or two.

Alyssa stood on the sidewalk, cheeks burning as she watched the doorman wave in yet another group of giggling freshmen. She'd been waiting for nearly half an hour, cycling through confusion, anger, and now a numb sort of disbelief.

"Look," said the bored-looking Sigma Chi at the door, not unkindly but with evident impatience, "I've checked three times. You're not on the list. We're at capacity. Maybe try again next time?"

Who is this asshole anyway? Alyssa opened her mouth to argue, but the words died in her throat.

She was suddenly, acutely aware of the whispers and stares from the line behind her. With as much dignity as she could muster, she turned away from the door.

"Whatever," she muttered, tugging at her too-tight dress. "Their loss."

As she started to walk away, a familiar laugh caught her attention. Alyssa turned to see Samantha sauntering up to the door in a sparkly little black dress that flattered her tight figure and long legs.

"Sam!" Alyssa called out, a mix of relief and desperation in her voice.

Samantha's eyes widened slightly as she took in Alyssa's appearance. "Oh, hey Lyss," she said, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. "You just getting here?"

Before Alyssa could respond, the doorman spoke up. "Samantha! Looking hot as always. Go on in."

Samantha flashed Alyssa an apologetic smile. "Sorry, gotta run. Catch you inside?" With that, she disappeared into the house, leaving Alyssa standing there, mouth agape.

The door closed with a dull thud. Alyssa stood frozen for a moment, shock giving way to a simmering rage. This was absolute bullshit.

"Alyssa?" A tentative voice broke through her thoughts. She turned to see Stephanie looking at her with concern. "Are you okay? I thought you'd be inside already."

Alyssa forced a laugh, injecting as much nonchalance into her voice as she could muster. "Oh, this party? Please. It's totally lame anyway. I was just leaving."

Stephanie glanced at the packed house dubiously. "Really? I heard it was supposed to be epic..."

"Trust me," Alyssa said, linking her arm through Stephanie's and steering her away from the line. "I know where the real party's at. These losers don't know what they're missing."

Stephanie nodded, though she still looked uncertain. "If you say so..."

Friday night. Alyssa huffed in frustration as Netflix started another episode. She'd been curled up next to Evan on his couch for over an hour, waiting for him to make a move. But so far, he'd been maddeningly passive, seemingly content to just sit there with his arm draped loosely around her shoulders.

Well, enough was enough. If Evan wasn't going to take the initiative, then Alyssa would just have to do it herself. With a decisive nod, she stood up, ignoring Evan's quizzical look as she reached for the hem of her dress.

In one smooth motion, she pulled the garment up and over her head, tossing it aside with a flourish. She stood before Evan in nothing but her lacy bra and panties, her hands planted on her hips in a pose of defiant invitation.

She watched as Evan's eyes raked over her body, taking in every inch of newly exposed skin, a twinkle in his eye and a half smile on his face.

"See something you like?" Alyssa purred, cocking one hip to the side.

Evan chuckled as he reached out to grab her by the flabby waist and pull her towards him. "Always," he murmured, pulling her down onto his lap so she was straddling his thighs. "You know you're gorgeous, no matter what."

Alyssa forced a smile at the compliment, even as she bristled at the implication that there was a "what" to be disregarded. But then Evan's hands were skimming up her sides, his thumbs brushing the undersides of her breasts, and all coherent thought fled her mind.

She let out a breathy sigh as Evan's mouth found her neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin there. His hands continued their exploration of her body, mapping the dips and curves of her waist and hips, kneading the soft flesh of her ass.

If he noticed that there was a bit more of her to grab onto these days, he didn't mention it.

She ground down against the growing hardness she could feel beneath her. God, she'd needed this, needed him to fill her up again as only he could. It had been way too long.

As Evan's hand slipped beneath the waistband of her panties, Alyssa let her head fall back with a moan, giving herself over to the sensations coursing through her. In this moment, she felt desired, adored, irresistible.

Alyssa lay sprawled across Evan's bed, basking in the afterglow of intense pleasure. But as the post-coital haze began to dissipate, a creeping sense of self-consciousness started to set in.

With Evan's eyes on her, Alyssa suddenly felt exposed. Rolling onto her side, she tugged the sheet up to cover her softening middle, a flush of embarrassment warming her cheeks.

Evan watched silently from his spot on the bed, taking in the changes to Alyssa's physique with a keen, appraising eye. Of course, he'd noticed her climbing weight - the way her clothes kept getting tighter, her belly softer, her hips wider; of course, he saw the spreading cellulite on her thighs and ass, the growing heaviness of her breasts and fullness in her face.

Their reunion after winter break had been...let's say eye-opening.

Evan watched as Alyssa wrestled with the zipper of her dress. Something was captivating about seeing this vain beauty letting herself go bit by bit. Captivating for now, but not forever. Not when forever was looking increasingly soft and jiggly.

So he said nothing as Alyssa finally finished dressing, merely offering her a lazy smile and a quick kiss on the cheek as she made her way to the door. He'd let her keep her illusions for a little while longer, let her cling to the fantasy that she was still the untouchable baddie she'd always been.

Evan had options, and he was already dividing his time among the other eager, tight bodies that threw themselves at him on a daily basis. Alyssa was enthusiastic, yes, but already well past her brief prime.

In a world full of willing hot girls...well, he'd be a fool not to keep his options open.

As the door closed behind Alyssa's dimpled ass, Evan leaned back against the couch cushions and smiled to himself, already looking forward to the next conquest. Life was full of delicious possibilities, after all.

The student union ballroom pulsed with energy as Alyssa entered, the annual Alpha Phi "Valentine's Dance Your Heart Out" charity event already well underway. Colorful streamers and heart-shaped balloons adorned the walls, and the air thrummed with upbeat pop music.

Alyssa smoothed down her dress, a cute red number she'd bought just before winter break. As she shimmied into the crowd, she felt a moment of resistance as the fabric caught around her hips. She tugged it down, frowning slightly. Had it shrunk in the wash?

Shaking off the thought, Alyssa made her way to the dance floor, hips swaying to the beat. She surveyed the room, noting who was here, who was dancing with whom.

"Looking hot, Lyss!" Kayla called out as she twirled past. "That dress is killer on you."

Alyssa grinned, pushing aside the nagging voice in the back of her head that whispered about tightness and bulges.

As the night wore on, Alyssa found herself gravitating towards the refreshment table. As she reached for another mini cupcake, she caught sight of a group of sophomore guys huddled near the DJ booth, taking a breather between songs. One of them - Tim? - glanced in her direction, then quickly looked away.

Alyssa's heart gave a little flutter. She'd hooked up with him... what, a month ago? Two? She straightened up, sucking in her stomach and pushing out her chest, ready to saunter over and remind him of what he was missing.

But as she took a step towards them, Tim leaned in closer to his friends, his voice low. One of the guys let out a laugh, quickly stifled, and shot a furtive look in Alyssa's direction before turning back to the group.

Alyssa paused, the half-eaten cupcake forgotten in her hand. A flicker of uncertainty passed through her, gone almost before she could register it.

She forced herself to breathe. It was fine. Everything was fine.

"You okay?" Stephanie appeared at her elbow, concern etched on her features. "You look a little flushed."

"I'm fine," Alyssa snapped, more harshly than she'd intended. At Stephanie's hurt look, she softened her tone. "Sorry, just... distracted, I guess."

Stephanie nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, it's pretty chaotic in here. Hey, want to hit the floor again? Work off some of these charity calories?" She smiled as she patted her own flat stomach, looking trim and flawless in her baby-t.

Alyssa felt a flicker of irritation at the casual gesture. She pushed the thought aside, forcing a smile. "Sure, why not?"

As they made their way back to the dance floor, Alyssa couldn't shake the feeling of eyes on her. She tugged surreptitiously at her dress, suddenly hyper-aware of how it clung to her body. Had it always fit this snugly?

It's nothing, she told herself firmly.

With renewed determination, Alyssa threw herself into dancing, her movements just a touch more frenetic than usual. As she twirled and swayed, Alyssa caught glimpses of herself in the mirrored wall behind the DJ booth - flushed, slightly out of breath, her dress riding up in ways it never used to. She looked away, focusing instead on the blur of bodies around her.

"Can you believe Professor Lane's pop quiz?"

"Brutal. Pretty sure I failed."

"Same. Hey, pass the chips?"

"Here. Oh, did you hear about Jess and Tom?"

"No, what happened?"

"Caught him cheating. With a freshman."

"No way! Which one?"

"That redhead from Tri Delt."

"Ouch. Poor Jess."

"I know. She's devastated."

"Speaking of devastated, did anyone go to the basketball game last night?"

"Yeah, what a disaster."

"I left at halftime. Couldn't take it."

"Smart move. Oh, have you guys decided on swimsuits for Cabo?"

"Oh God, don't remind me. I must've gained at least five pounds since Christmas."

"Tell me about it. I had to go up a size in yoga pants. This dining hall food is killing me."

"My boobs went up another size, and I can barely find bras that fit anymore."

"Aww, poor Kayla has even bigger tits. Zero sympathy."

"You guys are all smoking hot, and nobody cares about your five pounds...at least none of you are pulling an Alyssa..."

"Oh my God, stop!"

"Seriously though...wow..."

"Did you see her at Dance-a-thon last week? yikes..."

"Anyway. We're still on for the 12th, right?"

"Yep. Five days of sun and—"

"Don't say it. I'm already dreading coming back to midterms."

"Ugh, don't remind me. Pass the hummus?"

"Here. So, who's in for Cabo again?"

"The usual crew. Me, you, Harper, Kayla..."

"Is Stephanie coming?"

"Last I heard. Oh, and Alyssa, I think."

"Alyssa? Really?"

"Yeah, why?"

"No reason. Just surprised."

"She hasn't been around much lately."

"True. Busy with that guy she's always texting?"

"Or busy with the dining hall buffet."

"Shh! Don't be mean."

"I'm just saying. Have you seen her lately?"

"Not really. She skips a lot of chapter meetings."

"Probably for the best. Those chairs aren't exactly... accommodating."

"That's cold."

"Guys, seriously. Change of subject?"

"Fine, fine. So, Cabo. Where are we staying again?"

"That resort on the beach. All-inclusive."

"Nice. I need to work on my tan."

"Same. These winter months are killing me."

"Tell me about it. I feel like a ghost."

"A very cute ghost."

"Aww, thanks. Hey, did anyone do the reading for Psych?"
