Hi guys! Sorry I forgot to upload last week. I have been crazy busy with attending one of the biggest conventions in Germany (scary and exciting!). I am still recovering from all the stress and of course the obligatory con plague. I hope I manage to write a bit about it soon. :)So here, have a double-update!Did I already mention that I borrowed Sasha (Zockls fashion fairy godmother)? They are a character from the drama/thriller/boyslove series "Bad Luck Boyz" from SeNaeke who was so kind to lend me his character (and approves of my depiction of them, yay!)You can find SeNaekes art on Patreon (SeNaeke) or on instagram (@se.naeke). ❤️ I’ve been thinking about Zockls wardrobe a lot over the years! I think his family doesn’t have a lot of money (everything went into the house) and he mostly owned hand-me-downs from his older brother and wore them until they fell apart. As someone who never felt at home in his own body going shopping for himself was a horrible ordeal; wanting to blend in with the masses, to not stand out but somehow still use clothes and style as an armor to signal he didn’t want to be part of social groups anyway (easier to tell himself that than to actually try to make friends and maybe be rejected). Hence his little experiments with emo/alternative fashion Flix caught wind of. Whenever I draw him I try to cycle through a set of clothes to show he is wearing the same things over and over. Like how I try to not go overboard with a variety of jackets, bags or shoes (but I sometimes forget and just draw whatever in a new scene). But I get bored while drawing sometimes. And I don’t think Zockl dresses himself in a way that represents his character – a dilemma for a visual medium! I started to sneak in more items of clothing that I would want to see him in, like the boots he’s wearing from chapter „Misskilled“ on. If I had kept him in plain black shirts (sometimes with a game reference on it) and his one jeans (with a hole in the knee area) until this chapter, the new clothes would maybe have had a greater effect. Now it probably feels a bit silly and not like a „transformation“ but like an outfits with slightly more black layers than usual. But I guess in the end this scene is my entry way into experimenting more with his fashion sense in the future. And having clothes swap parties is a good enough reason for why his wardrobe suddenly changes. :D

How do you feel about clothes?Do you choose them to be comfortable, representative of your inner world or are you part of a fashion scene (what's the right word here)? Is style important to you?
