It's less than a week away before I hop in the car and drive to Charlotte NC for Heroes. Everything is last minute and I'm trying to put together everything I need/want to be able to set up the table for the show. I don't have many copies of Nerd Inferno, but I'm bringing what I have to justify this as part of the Nerd Inferno tour.
I have copies of the Beasts of Burden Omnibus, some issues of Catacomb of Torment (mostly variants at this point, I have no idea what these things go for!), some HOF pins, some miscellaneous comics and whatnot. I'm going to swing by JHU COmics and pick up some Beasts hardcovers, Blackwood trades and whatever else they have that I worked on. Consignment books, basically.
I'm going to pull all the Not For Sale stuff out of the Dork/Eltingville art portfolios and refill them and price everything on post-its so I don't have to refer to the printed list I have. I'm trying to see if I can get Square to work on ym phone so I can take credit cards, also, have to see if I can actually work it. Sarah's helping me with that.
I was going to spend the next two weeks on commissions, but I'm also working on as many drawings as I can for the show. Whatever doesn't sell will end up here and on eBay. I've ordered a bunch of replacement markers (AD Chartpak), some Tombow pens and new wrist braces. Been dutifully taking my Pregabalin and Meloxicam to help wth the wrist and arm issues. It's been a whirlwind. I don't know if I'll be doing commissions at the show, these drawings will probably be my "con sketches" for the show. A lot depends on the hand.
Finally, I should have some or all of the remaining Eltingville Club prints done for the signing at Austin Books and Comics. And plastic sleeves for them. The prints are being shipped from Austin to Charlotte, the sleeves to me. Very kind of Dale and Austin Books to arrange this.
