Another story originally written for turtles ertls. I was fond of this one as well. I enjoyed the back and fourth with Annie, Clarabel, and Isabel a lot. An argument can be made that Isabel ONLY speaks by ringing her bell, but she does technically have dialogue in Little Western Engines, so I ran with it.
I also got Splatter and Dodge in there, which of course, always makes things better. It was fun throwing in little Magic Railroad bits in there. Isabel's heroic moment might remind you of the undisputed best scene in the movie (at least to me).
Diesel 10 (or demon Diesel 10) was meant to represent the theme of time in turtles ertls, and how it was inevitable and inescapable. He also took many terrifying forms! When we worked on these stories, turtlesandthomas often asked me to revise how Diesel 10 was portrayed because he had a very specific vision in mind.
This story was written later on in the series, so Diesel 10's presence was written very minimally so turtles could inject whatever he wanted into how the "monster" persona was portrayed. He was definitely inspired by Stephen King with some of his ideas for him.
Later on, Bluebells5529 asked if I had any material for his series, and I gave him permission to adapt this story. He'll have to make some changes to Diesel 10's role for sure, but I'm excited to see if he uses it. I'd be open to more people adapting this if they asked for permission and wouldn't mind explaining how they'd tackle it.
Heck, maybe I'd bother the CSC about it too. I'm sure they'll be thrilled about having to make Isabel and Dulcie customs for 6-8 people.
I hope you enjoy it!
