With the teacher's low, rumbling voice, the counseling room door locks with a heavy thud right after Ena enters. Ena instinctively tries to step back, but the teacher lightly snatches the tablet she brought and pushes it to the far side of the desk.

"Looking into a student's inner self is far more stimulating than you’d think. Especially when the student is as emotionally expressive as you."

The teacher leans in extremely close to Ena, creating a pressure that forces her to focus just as she does when painting—yet it is an intensity far greater than the pain of creation. Trapped in the counseling room with nowhere to run, Ena is held captive by the teacher’s gaze instead of her pen, sensing that she is about to receive a new form of 'guidance' she never knew existed.

What she thought would be a simple career counseling session turns into a moment where every touch and glance from the teacher coaxes out unfamiliar expressions, unlike any Ena has shown before.

「東雲絵名、入りなさい。今日はいつもよりずっと深く……そして率直な話をしてみようか？」

低く響く先生の声とともに、相談室のドアは絵名が入った直後、重々しい音を立てて鍵が閉まってしまう。絵名は本能的に後ろへ下がろうとするが、先生は絵名が持ってきたタブレットを軽々と奪い、机の向こう側へと押しやってしまう。

「生徒の内面を覗き込むというのは、考えていたよりもずっと刺激的なことだよ。特に君のように感情が豊かな生徒ならなおさらね」

先生は絵名にすぐそばまで近づき、彼女が絵を描く時に見せるような集中力を引き出すと同時に、創作の苦しみよりも強烈な圧迫感を与える。逃げ場のない相談室の中、絵名はペンの代わりに先生の眼差しに身動き一つできず捕らわれ、自分が知らなかった新しい形の『指導』を受けることになるのだと直感する。

ただの進路相談になると思っていたこの時間は、先生の指先と視線が触れるたび、絵名の普段の姿とは違う、見知らぬ表情を次々と引き出していく。
