Translators, if you've made translations for RPO collection, I am warning you of a CHANGE in RPO Collection which is relevant to you:

The String Table for RPO Collection Mods has been SPLIT.

The next RPO Collection version will have ONE STRING TABLE per RPO Mod package file. EVERY Rpo package has its OWN string table now, and this will apply publicly at the next RPO feature update.

Down the line, this will simplify work for translators, making it clearer what gets changed when, and easier to translate only a few RPO mods if wanted, instead of always having to do all of them or none at all.

Don't panic, your pre-existing translation work is not lost.

Once this new RPO version is out (which is not for a while longer yet!!! it' not what I'm currently working on), follow the steps below to make your translation work with the new set up. I also heavily encourage translators to review their translation as RPO text has changed a lot over the years, and recently I made a lot of changes to older text.

How to Convert your existing translation to this new format

0. Wait till a new RPO version feature update is released.

Until then, all remains as before.

1. Download the Sims 4 translator by Voky

It comes as a.7z file, which is just like a zip file but for the program 7zip; you CAN:

right click and choose "extract all" and Windows will extract the contents like normal;

or rename the file to change the extension to .zip and then proceed like normal with a zip file

2. Extract your existing RPO Core string table

Open your RPO Core translation package in S4S

click on your string table in your language

choose "batch export" in bottom options

save the string table somewhere

3. Import your translation into the new string tables

Open the translation program by going in its folder and clicking the "translator.exe" file (the one with the green splash icon)

Click "File" then "Load File"

Choose the RPO mod for which you're doing this (start with M0)

You see that the file is open and the strings are showing.

Now go to "File" then "Import Translation"

Select "Everything" and click "Import".

Now you see your translations have been imported. Save however you wish (explore the options in the program).

That's the process!

Next, load the next RPO mod (M1), and import your original Core translation string table into it, and save also.

Repeat this for all RPO mod packages

And you're done!
