Patreon Tutorial #49 - Redshift Render Time Procedurals - Part 2
DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, this is part 2 of the Redshift procedural tutorial series. In part 2 I will continue where I left off in the previous tutorial. In this part, I will show you how to leverage the USD procedural, how to render BGEO files directly as render-time procedurals, along with the VDB file format. This is very useful when mass-instancing these object types, in particular, VDBs can quickly add extraction time when read from inside of Houdini.

I also explain some of the unique features found in the USD procedural in Object context, and finally how to use the USD and Alembic procedurals in Solaris USD Stage context. This is an obscure set of features which a lot people are unaware of, but they are powerful and can change the way you work on complex scenes in your projects. I hope this helped demystify this often-forgotten feature set in Redshift.

Thanks again for all the support and have a wonderful new year!
