Hello everybody! How are you doing on this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Are you ready for some more news about HC3’s development? Of course you are! Because why wouldn’t you be? It’s just some text regarding game development on an adult game—no need to over-prepare for that.
So, now that I’m done being a buzzkill, I can finally let you know what I’ve been doing this week. To be honest, there hasn't been much actual progress in terms of the story because the first few days were spent finishing and testing the TT tournament scene. Since then, I’ve written the lead-up to the extra scene (with different events based on whether Lily’s and/or Haylen’s storylines have been completed). I’ve also finished about 75 to 80% of the extra scene, of which you can see a sneak peek in the screenshot above. I could have done more, but I’ve been dealing with some self-inflicted insomnia two nights in a row. The good ol’ going to bed too late and then stressing about it; because if you don’t fall asleep right away, you’re going to be tired the next day, which makes you even more stressed and unable to sleep. It affected my working speed a little bit, sorry! ^^
Another bit of good news is that the artists are keeping up pretty well with commissions, so I get new animations and sprites consistently as I develop. I’ve also got two more artists working on the new graphic assets (mostly nature, character outfits, and haircuts for now). The idea is to have the same character assets I have for HC3 redone in the new graphic style, and then add new assets on top.
I’m now getting closer to completion, and a June release seems pretty likely. There are still many variables that could mess up my plans, though, so don’t quote me on that. I’ll give you a more accurate release date whenever I can.
