Well, technically my new system did allow me to finish and get this story posted before the end of the month... It may have been within the last hour of the month, at least in my time zone, but it still counts! This story will be released to the public on Saturday, May 30th. For the longest time, it was believed that monsters were mere fantasy; myths and legends from an early, more superstitious time in mankind’s history. But all of that changed one day, when suddenly they returned. Or, well, two monsters in particular returned, at least. A pair of anthropomorphic monster girls, a cat named Catty and an alligator named Bratty.
The two ditzy monsters, with the personality of vapid, but friendly, valley girls, claimed to be quote, “so hyped for the destruction of humanity,” end quote, and quickly demonstrated the ability to transform humans into copies of their respective 'bestie,' Catty making humans into Brattys and Bratty doing the same with Cattys. This was a terrifying enough trait on it’s own, but it was made even worse by the fact that it was inherited by their clones, along with being virtually indestructible, immune to practically any form of conventional harm.
Thus does the "destruction of humanity" begin, with only the rare survivors left holding out, being relentlessly pursued so that they too can become 'like, sooo totally cool' with their 'new besties.'
