DESCRIPTION

Yo, everyone.I want to actually walk through what July looks like, because the last couple weeks have been a lot — and I don't mean that as a "sorry for the inconvenience" kind of a lot, I mean a "we just ran three stories at full sprint and I'm genuinely proud of where they landed" kind of a lot. ROWDY closed out. Nerd in the North closed out. Massive Disaster isn't closing yet, though, and that's actually where I want to start.

The last poll helped a lot.

Not just because it told me what people wanted, but because it made the current priorities a lot clearer once I separated out the stories that had either already been getting major attention or were already in the active rotation. So here's the update on where things are right now, what I'm working on next and what the rough shape of the early part of July is going to look like.Wrapping Massive Disaster (2-3 more chapters)

MD's not done. I've got two, maybe three more chapters left in this current stretch before I intentionally step back from it. I know some of you are mid-reveal right now and want me to just keep the train running forever, and believe me, I get the pull — but this is a story that needs room to actually land what it's setting up. Rushing the back half of a sequence just to keep the chapter count climbing is exactly the kind of thing I try not to do. Two or three more chapters, and then I'm pulling back on purpose to make sure my plotting structure works, not because I ran out of road.

A Curse Upon Thee — clearing the commission queue (4 chapters)

Once MD gets to a real landing spot, I'm turning straight around and knocking out the four commissioned ACUT chapters still in the queue. Commission work isn't something I phone in on the side. Closing this batch out clean is the priority before I let myself get pulled toward anything else. When there are paid commissions sitting there, I need to actually finish them. That story has had a ridiculous amount of momentum lately, and I’m not ignoring that either.

Disaster Cast — Massive Disaster

After the chapters and the commission work, I'm doing a Disaster Cast for MD. If you caught the ROWDY one, you already know the format — it's not a chapter, it's me actually talking through why I write the way I do, what just happened, why certain calls got made, and where things are headed, without spoiling the parts I'm not ready to spoil yet. Think of it as the breather between the sprint we just ran and the next one.

Greg Veder — pushing the arc before July 1st

Then I'm jumping straight into Greg Veder. This one's been sitting near the top of the poll for weeks now, and I want to get as deep into the current arc as I possibly can before July 1st hits. I'm not going to throw out a chapter number I can't back up, because I genuinely don't know how far the arc lets me get in that window — but the goal here is depth, not just "post something to say I posted." If MD and Nerd taught me anything this month, it's that when I actually sit inside a story instead of hopping out after one or two chapters, everybody benefits more than when I spread myself thin across everything at once.

On top of that, I know some of you like the stat sheets, perk lists, cast posts, and all that extra stuff. I do too, honestly. It makes the stories feel more alive to me, and it gives the page something beyond just chapter after chapter with no supporting structure.

July 1st and beyond — four stories, one pivot point

Here's where it gets real.

Starting July 1st, I'm rotating into four stories, and I want to be upfront about what "rotating into four" actually means — it's not four chapters a day across the board, it's these four being the active focus for the starting part of the month, moving in whatever order momentum and plotting let me move them:

Running From Himself — Arc 3. I'm aiming for 5 to 8 chapters here. The Boys just wrapped its run, and I want Reggie's story actively moving while that's still fresh for anyone looking for more of that world.

Paragon to Pavement. Picking back up right where the last run left off. This one's quietly become one of the stronger performers this year, and I'm not letting it go dormant the way it did before.

Fighting Chance — Arc 3. Overdue. I know it.

No Life Kid — Book 2. This is the one that's been climbing hardest in the polls the last few weeks, and Book 2 is getting the real start it deserves.

That is the early July list right now.

Running already got a big push recently, but the story still has momentum, and I know there are people who are very much here for that one. The main thing with Running is that I want to be careful not to burn through the backlog stupidly. Arc 4 hasn't really been plotted yet. I have an outline but it's not where I want it to be yet.

For Paragon to Pavement, I know the support is there.

That story keeps getting a very specific kind of comment. Not just “update this,” but people actually pointing at the premise, the setting, the feel of it, the Dispatch angle, Sky being stuck in this corporate superhero nightmare, all of that.

That tells me the story has teeth.

It is one of those stories where the audience may not be the biggest yet, but the people who want it seem very locked in. That matters to me. I like when a story has that kind of concentrated support because it tells me people are not just voting for a title. They are voting for the actual story.

So Paragon is absolutely part of July.

What I can promise is that all four are actively in motion this month, none of them are getting shelved, and I'm tracking every single one with the same seriousness I just gave the last three.

I plot stupidly far ahead for exactly this reason — so that when I tell you a plan, it's an actual plan and not a guess I'm hoping pans out.

Obviously, things can shift a little depending on commissions, chapter length, health, momentum, and whether a story decides to be a normal story or suddenly become a five-headed hydra in the middle of a scene.

But this is not me throwing darts at a board.

There is a plan.

I am trying to be more deliberate about the rotation, more deliberate about finishing arcs, and more deliberate about not leaving the older/core stories feeling like they have to fight for oxygen every time a newer story catches fire.

The page has a lot of stories now. That is both the strength and the problem.

The strength is that there is usually something for someone. The problem is that update priority can be more annoying than update speed. I know.

Thanks for sticking with whichever story is yours.

I see the comments,

I read the polls, and none of it goes unnoticed.
