DESCRIPTION

Old Tresendar Manor lay perched atop a hill in the town of Phandalin, overlooking the dreary town like a wounded vulture. Its roof sags and lay splintered down the middle, allowing the elements free passage along its dilapidated chambers. Weeds push up through broken floorboards and piles of rubble lay strewn about the structure, which was picked over years ago and now hosts only a handful of vermin.

This was one of the first maps that I'd created for the town of Phandalin, designed to pair with the WOTC module, the Lost Mine of Phandelver.

The module doesn't provide a map, relying on Theater of the Mind (TotM) to handle any kind of social and combat encounters that may occur there. As with many of the other locations in town, I know that DM's (and especially their PC's) like to deviate from the railed path and explore whatever their murder hobo hearts desire. Thus, it is useful to have an actual space that the players can physically explore.

We have a great illustrated scene to help set the mood, by Ha Art:

Here is an example of the updated map itself:

I've updated the map for more modern lighting, coloring and shading practices, which should give the location a lot more depth and keep it a consistent style with the rest of the locations in town. I'd also had some people recently mention that they'd like to see more evening versions of these locations, so Tier 3+ will see an evening version available in the files.

I've also included a rooftop PNG for the manor and the small shed out back, allowing you to cover the less exposed parts as PC's make their approach:

If you are not running the module, this would be a great location for a Haunted Manor, a bandit camp, perhaps the ruined home of a noble-born PC revisiting their homeland,etc... There are a great many potential uses for the location, and it is a huge space to explore and use for set pieces, social or combat encounters.

I've included an NPC Portrait and Token of the character Carp Alderleaf, a young halfling boy that is found skulking about the manor in the module, by HIIDRA Studios.

I hope you guys enjoy the updated map and can create some great memories!
