DESCRIPTION

The download ZIP file containing these images can be found attached to this post, so there will be no Tier Reward Post or separate download URL, but I will add the link to the Master Map Lists.

I am pleased to bring you another Illustration Support Pack, which includes [14] item illustrations, [7] landscape scenes and [8] NPC Portraits & Tokens.

Item Illustrations

This month's item illustrations were built on suggestions from Patrons on Discord, which included a dwarven shortsword, a handful of corrupted/uncorrupted versions of items, some additional lycanthrope inspired items and couple frozen north items.

The item illustrations were done by Steven Bell.

I particularly enjoyed the Gauntlets of the Silver Oath , a Rare Wondrous Item that require attunement, and uses the Corrupted/Uncorrupted mechanic.

Uncorrupted State | Oathkeeper’s Gauntlets

While attuned to and wearing these gauntlets, you gain the following benefits:

Silvered Strikes. Any melee weapon attack you make, as well as your unarmed strikes, count as silvered for the purpose of overcoming resistances and immunities.

Defensive Instinct. When a creature you can see within 5 feet of you makes an attack against a target other than you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack roll. You can use this feature once, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a short or long rest.

Shapeshifter’s Grasp. You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to grapple a creature that can change its shape (such as a shapechanger or a creature under the effect of a transmutation that alters its form).

Corrupted State | Bloodlust Gauntlets (Cursed)

When corrupted, the gauntlets become a cursed item and cannot be removed from your hands unless targeted by a remove curse spell or similar magic.

While in this state, you retain the Silvered Strikes property and gain the following traits:

Bloodlust. When you successfully hit a creature with a melee attack, you must continue attacking that creature on each of your turns if it is in sight and you are able to do so. This compulsion lasts until the creature drops to 0 hit points or falls unconscious. You may choose targets freely again once the creature is incapacitated or dead.

Fanaticism. You have disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks.

The curse persists until lifted by remove curse or similar magic. Once the curse is broken, the gauntlets revert to their uncorrupted state.

Corruption Triggers:

The gauntlets become corrupted, if the wearer knowingly executes a restrained, helpless, or surrendering creature in the name of their oath.

They return to their uncorrupted state, if the wearer willingly spares a sworn enemy and accepts meaningful personal risk as a result.

I hope you can use it for some fun moments in your adventures!

The other illustrated items in this pack are:

Mantle of the Walrus

Draught of the Silver Sting

Dwarven Noble's Shortblade

Gorget of the Eclipsed Moon

Fizzlewick's Parchment of Magical Mapping

Lycanthrope Hunter's Pack

White Dragon Fang Pick

Uncorrupted / Corrupted Fang of the Alpha

Uncorrupted / Corrupted Paleheart Talisman

NPC Portraits & Tokens

This month's item illustrations were built with the theme of halfling villagers in mind, specifically for the town map of Brill. I wanted to get a variety of characters that covered a broad range of potential uses, and I believe you will enjoy the ones we came up with for this month's portraits and tokens. Even if you aren't using the village of Brill, some of these portraits would make wonderful characters in your homebrew world.

Here's a look at the portraits, by HIIDRA Studios:

Halfling Mayor

Halfling Innkeeper

Halfling Constable

Halfling Brewmaster

Halfling Herbalist

Halfling Bard

Halfling Farmer
