As some of you on Discord know, I have been slowly commissioning art for a book supplement I hope to release in 2027 -- working title "Floronomicon".
The book will have 110+ fantasy plants with lore, descriptions, images, harvesting notes, byproduct information and general properties. It will also have 12 subclasses (one for each of the main classes) that have an alchemy or herbalist based theme, and a few creatures.
The creatures, like this Crystal Hydra, are being designed to provide a sole source for some of the fantasy plants, meaning that the party has to discover, locate, track and either negotiate, incapacitate or slay the creature in order to obtain its rare flower or herb.
I thought you might like to see some of that process, so here are a handful of illustrations related to the book to give you a flavor of its contents.
