I very excited to announce our next Morvold Music piece - the theme for Greenest, the beginning town in Hoard of the Dragon Queen/Tyranny of Dragons!
I am commissioning composers/songwriters to create soundtracks to maps that I've created to help provide an even more immersive feel to your sessions. This month, I am happy to provide you with the Greenest Theme by Josh Barron (www.joshbarroncomposer.com), one of your fellow Patrons.
I absolutely loved the quiet lead into the town transitioning into the majestic feel of the keep, with just enough tension and notes of worry over what may come.
Where can I listen to it?
You can either check it out on Soundcloud here: https://on.soundcloud.com/BheNm2yVJ9fOiD5qIS or I've attached an MP3 file at the bottom of the post you can download and integrate into whatever playlists or jukeboxes you might keep for your sessions.
For those that may have joined us after the release of the Grenest town map, here is an example of the map with its many homes and buildings:
The map was designed as either a pre- or a post- version of the town of Greenest, which is quickly under siege in the module. There is another version of the town aflame, but the music for that version would be quite a bit different. ;)
In Greenest, you will find 6 unique buildings, including the following:
The Small Town Estate, located in the northwestern part of town, home to a lesser noble or wealthy merchant that may have work or information for the party.
The Town Hall, located northeast of the keep, which can provide the backdrop for many social interactions between the party and local law enforcement and/or political figures.
The Tavern, located north of the keep, which may be the first stop for the party when they roll into town, securing accommodations and a few tidbits of information.
The Keep, located in the center of town upon a hill, which has [4] levels that can provide a huge amount of space for social and combat encounters.
The Temple of Chauntea - located on the east side of town, providing a place for divine services and social engagements, as well as some combat encounters during the raid.
The Watermill, located on the southwest part of town, which is often a point of attack during the raids being on the edge of town.
I've attached these to the bottom of the post, in case you wanted to use them for any of your upcoming adventures in 2026.
I am excited about the music and hope to bring you much more next year!! =)
