DESCRIPTION

Hi!

Please read through the post to understand how it works, since Android is quite peculiar.

Systems not yet supported but you can install your own emulator:

Eden - Nintendo Switch

Vita3k - PS Vita

RPCSX - PS3

Pre installation caveats:

Android Handhelds "only"

This app is being developed for Handhelds first, it could or could not work on Android phones but they are not supported yet.

Emulator Forks

Due to the restrictive nature of Android we can't touch its configuration unless the emulator supports saving its settings in the Internal Storage of your device, some of them do support this like Azahar or RetroArch, but some of them as Cemu or Dolphin don't, so we have to use. our own forks enabling that feature so we can set up controls for your or enable CloudSync.

You can migrate your data from the original emulators to our forks to keep your saved games.

Cemu data folder -> /Android/data/info.cemu.cemu/files/ copy its contents to /Emulation/storage/cemu

Dolphin data folder -> /Android/data/org.dolphinemu.dolphinemu/files/ copy its contents to /Emulation/storage/Dolphin

If you have Azahar already, move your data to /Emulation/storage/Azahar

If you have PPSSPP already, move your data to /Emulation/storage/PPSSPP

Installation instructions

1 - Automatic part of the installation

Download the APK and load it into your Android Device using an USB drive, cloud, whichever you prefer.

Login using your token.

Pick between Easy or Custom model, just like in good old EmuDeck.

When asked by Android, never open the installed emulator APK, click on DONE instead. RetroArch for some reason sometimes takes forever to install, just give it some time.

After the installation you'll see a list of the installed emulators, you can try to reinstall them if any failed during installation.

2 - Manual part of the installation

Sadly not all emulators allow me to set their settings automatically, so for the time being you need to do some manual steps the first time you install EmuDeck, after you've installed all the emulators the app will guide you through this manual steps.

How to use CloudSyncFirst of all remember that you need to also install EmuDeck EA in all your other devices, whether it's a SteamDeck, Windows or Linux device.

First setup CloudSync on your Android device:

EmuDeck app -> Menu -> CloudSync.

Then over there click "Change Provider" and pick your provider and follow instructions.

Now, how to use it?

There two ways:

Automatically by using the Rift Frontend, saved games will download and upload when launching games

Manually in the EmuDeck App, EmuDeck app -> Menu -> CloudSync > "Upload" or "Download".
