Hello everyone!
We’re going to take a few days off. This year has been really tough, and both I and the rest of the team could really use a short break, so we won’t be around until January 2nd.
That said, we’ll still keep an eye on a couple of important things:
Patreon issues (subscriptions, perks, etc.)
Playnix orders that haven’t been shipped yet
What’s coming at the beginning of 2026?
Playnix Store restock
I’m changing how the store works. Instead of building units through custom orders, I’ll be making a fixed number of units and then putting them up for sale. This should let me give you much clearer timelines on when you’ll actually receive your unit.
I might even keep the store as a Patreon exclusive, since this ended up being way more work than I originally expected. Because of that, I’ve asked all reviewers to hold off on publishing their videos for now, I simply couldn’t keep up with the order volume.
PlaynixOS – first OS update
This will focus on quality-of-life improvements like better 8BitDo support, Steam Deck SD card compatibility, and more.
EmuDeck Android – missing features
We’ll start by adding proper artwork support to the frontend launcher, and then move on to CloudSync, both for our default launcher and for those of you using ES-DE or other launchers.
EmuDeck RetroLibrary – SteamOS fixes
A recent SteamOS update broke things. It’s partially fixed already, but it still needs more work. I’m also looking into ways to make it survive future SteamOS updates and generally make it more solid.
That’s the plan for now, but knowing me, I’ll probably add more things as ideas start popping up again 😄
