I tried a new animation tool this week, and while it had great promise, it was also a bit finicky to work with.
I've been doing manual animations since day 1, and while that works fine, it's always nice to explore new tools and methods that could improve both workflow and the final output.
The goal is to be able to utilize my mocap suit, and while it works fine in Blender, Daz has very limited support for it. So I need a good way to transfer animation keyframes between Blender and Daz. Last time I checked, that didn't work well, but things change fast in this industry, so there might be new tools available now that didn't exist a year ago. And I'll probably take a few days to look into that as well.
Anyway, I still got a lot done since last Friday. 123 story renders and 1,096 animation frames are the numbers for the week, which means episode 5's numbers are now 2,203 story renders and 19,231 frames.
I'll be addressing the use of AI in the next dev update. If you have any thoughts about it, feel free to drop them in the comments.
Have a nice weekend. And if you see a guy with a hockey mask today, I'd suggest running in the opposite direction. Stay lucky out there.
