I bet you thought we were done with Dark Matter for a little while after publishing a new 445-page book, a 207-page campaign, and another 194-page campaign. But how about a new campaign? With mechs?
In One Hundred to Oni, you play hotshot mecha pilots fresh out of the academy, eager to make your mark. Your first assignment: hunt down one of your own. Captain Rak Volum'da, a hobogoblin pilot, has gone AWOL with his custom prototype Battleframe, a cutting-edge mech of unsurpassed power. He's somewhere in the Warzone, an Arcane Warhead has gone missing, and doom is on the horizon. All the while, our new pilots are trying to rack up 100 confirmed kills, a number which earns them the coveted rank of Oni.
Oni is easily the best and most comprehensive campaign we've ever written, and I think you'll love it. What makes this campaign so cool?
Unforgetable mecha combat set pieces
Mass-Effect-style NPC companions with multiple loyalty quests each.
An epic narrative from level 1-10 with huge reactivity and big choices
This campaign requires some introduction and an apology. We originally set out to craft this epic mecha space opera campaign after the Dark Matter Starter Kit Kickstarter in 2020. Long story short, didn't keep it in-house or put a tight enough grip on production, and the final result wasn't up to our standards. But now it's back and we've sworn a blood oath to finish it, even if it's the last thing we do.
One Hundred to Oni will be released as a print-and-play adventure in four parts and go to level 9 or 10. This release, Part One: Life at the Academy, is an introduction for level 1-2 characters.
