It started to get warm outside, but now it's all rainy and back down to 10 degrees 😭I can't believe that I still need to wear my fingerless gloves.
Okay, let's talk about the stuff I did in SB:
First, Eleanor got a slight overhaul. Not much, just the hairstyle and the positioning of her arm; and other smaller things. I was thinking about changing her outfit as well, but nothing really striked me. For now I just keep her like she looks.
Took me only one workday. That was nice.
The real thing to get set up was the repairing system for Susette's clothes. Here, have a look:
Things are always subject to change. Especially if I work on the same project for multiple years. For now this works just fine for me. Let me explain:
At home (and also in the levels) a portal will show up (later maybe Eleanor in person). You can interact with this portal to repair your clothes, buy new ones and sell old ones. You can click the repair button to individually repair the clothes in your Equipment or in the Wardrobe.
There are also some qualiy of life features, like repairing your entire equipment with just one click and sorting the shop via rarity, garment slot and price. Selling items can be done by a simple right click.
In the future the player will be able to buy more slots for buying items in the tailor shop and also storing items in the closet. The later might go into the first alpha already. Really not sure, yet.
So yeah, that's all that I have for you about the repairing system. I will share a video on Discord, that shows you the entire interacting with the system.
Getting started with Phase 5 (Sound, Music, etc.)Last post I said that I had a Voice Actress, who is supposed to voice Susette. She confirmed that she has time to work on it! The voice actress is the same that played Eleanor in Potion Shop Schwestherz: Kassioppia! I admit it's a bit weird that the same VA now plays Susette and Eleanor (cause Ele is yet again in this game), but working with the VA was a very positive experience, so I'd like to have her in the lead role this time.
I will set up the references for her to use in the commission as my next task.
Meanwhile, I will add sound to my game. Which means adding sliders to the settings and implementing sound overall. Everything I got so far will get sound added to it before I move on with the next phase. Examples: Getting coins, collecting mana essence, using fireballs/lightning bolts, opening a closet, getting clothes ripped/destroyed, button clicks, and so on and so on!
Not sure how long this topic is gonna take. In any case I will make myself heard again and tell you about my progress.
