Hello everyone, welcome to this week's progress report.
Level: Over the course of this week, blockouts for several mini locations were finished and are now waiting to be polished by one of our environment artists. These locations include several bandit camps of varying complexity, as well as one of our underwater locations near Pearl Village. One of our major environment projects, the World Tree, is now in-project in all its glory as part of our efforts to finalize our foliage meshes. In parallel to that, our 3D artists continued polishing and implementing the final assets for the lizard faction architecture, while the foliage assets are almost ready for implementation.
Code:This week, we tweaked the routine system to allow patrolling NPCs to do partner interactions. This will primarily be used for the Party Temple in Umbar. On the UI side, a lot of small tweaks have been made like showing a pearl count in the inventory, fixing world map marker rendering issues, and changing how damage values are shown in the inventory.Sleeping now also simulates the time passed on all life stats (Health, Hunger, Exhaustion, etc) and on all status effects. Additionally, it now heals the player around 25% of their max health per in-game hour slept.
In the sandbox, we added an option to the events section of props to only show the event dispatchers/receivers that are currently in use. While in this mode, new event endpoints can be added from a submenu. You can however still use the old view if preferred. Additionally, all props now have a dedicated "Set position", "Set rotation", and "Set scale" event.
Character:This week, we made a few more story-mode related outfit transfers. Some Sethro-based characters now have a dedicated Umbar masseur attire. Janara and Milanna got the haremDancerB outfit which will be the female version of the Umbar masseur. A few other user-requested transfers were also made. The outfit for Aoi is now finished and ready for implementation, as well.
Animations: In the animation department, we finished up the bathhouse scene implementation this week and sat together with Game Design a lot to plan the details of the big Umbar Party.
Design:This week, we continued working on the Umbar Party Temple and started the actual implementation of many aspects related to it. Such as routines, interaction points, dialogues, NPC placement and paths, and so on. We devised a method for npcs to be able to change interaction partners in shorter time intervals and determined which animations will be utilised for which pairing. We implemented the quest framework to unlock the mayor's VIP gang bang scene, as well.
Thank you for all your continued support,
