Hey everyone, I think this is the longest I've been away from the page. The past couple weeks have been alot.
First of all, I want to thank everyone for your support. I've received so many wonderful comments and messages from you guys. It genuinely means alot. I also really, really appreciate the patience. You're all a really solid community, and I am looking forward to being able to properly return to this page and be more active in the Discord.
As for what's been happening, I'm going to go over that.
This past Tuesday, we said our final goodbyes to my Auntie Mags. She wanted to be cremated, and her wishes were that her ashes be spread over her Mother and Father's graves. We sent her off with countless red roses - her favourite flower - and a solid, near 45 minute eulogy. There was a slideshow of the most amazing photos, many from her incredible dancing/showgirl career that took her around the world. We played 'My Way' by Frank Sinatra, as Mags really was this independent woman who didn't care what people thought. Then her favourite song, Nessun Dorma; sung by Pavarotti. We sent off her coffin to the iconic Can-Can music, as that's one dance she did countless times over.
We all dressed in bright colours; she never wanted everyone 'all miserable and dressed in black'. (her words)
Then we had her wake. But we did it the way she would've wanted. It was more like a party honestly. Copious drinks, classic music from the 50s and 60s amongst some of her other favourites. Dancing. Speeches and toasts, sharing even more memories. Laughing and joking too. We all wrote in her memory book, and had countless photos all around the room. There was a real crowd at the funeral and wake, and you never would've guessed we'd all just come from a funeral.
Alot of us ended up with a hangover the next day. But we sent her off with a party, which is always exactly what she wanted. It was a celebration.
Now she's been sent off and her flat is almost completely cleared of her things, with me being very lucky to have inherited some incredibly sentimental pieces, and things finally seem to be settling. The hard parts are over, and now we just get to remember her. I feel so much better honestly. Can't really explain it. But those of you who shared your own stories of loss more than likely understand.
And now we can talk about this page.
You'll have noticed I extended the pause on billing until May 30th. This is because these past few weeks I didn't get any sort of chance to sit down and start my replay. And I also want to put together a couple more posts that can go up during said replay. So you'll soon start seeing mods I've had prepared, so there will be new content here. I will also be uploading more of my existing mods from here to Nexus, as I've mentioned several times over the past few months.
But yeah, that just about sums everything up.
You'll see new mods and some WIPs soon! Again, thank you all for the support. It's meant the world. You guys are awesome, and I look forward to being more active soon.
