PC Situation - Update

DESCRIPTION

Hey folks, hope you enjoyed a final look at the Lotus body tattoo I've been working on. For this post I wanted to go over my current situation.

I thought I'd figured my PC out, but no. Sadly, I continued to get overheating warnings. Those did slow down when I lowered the raytracing, but that was just a flimsy bandaid on a PC that was evidently not built right. When I tried to start my replay, I got tposing during the intro cutscene with Jackie. As well as a plethora of stuttering and audio issues. My PC also got uncomfortably warm. I encountered these issues even after turning off raytracing and lowering the graphics all the way down to Medium; as well as taking out all mods.

My old PC ran the game with hundreds of mods at higher graphics, and far better; with no overheating warnings.

The PC itself was also becoming very slow. I hadn't even installed much on it yet. It's clear that something went wrong when installing the CPU. Given the specs of the new PC and it's 1TB SSD, it should've run Cyberpunk and other games extremely smoothly, with no overheating or other issues. Unfortunately this and other issues popping up has meant I've had to return my PC. I will get a refund once the PC arrives back to them.

But this means I am without a decent PC.

My Dad had a spare PC I can use in the meantime. It allows me to work on art and fanfictions, and runs Blender well enough. However, it sounds like a jet engine when I start up Cyberpunk. So I can literally only open the game for a handful of seconds to check a mod is functioning before I have to close it. Meaning I cannot start my replay or take screenshots for mod pages. Edit: Okay uh yeah I can't run Cyberpunk on his PC, I don't want to risk cooking it. So I'll solely be doing previews via Blender and my iPad.

So what's happening now, you ask?

Since Prime Day is coming up in about 13 days, almost two weeks, I am going to hold out for that. I'm hoping I can get a better deal. In the meantime, I still have stuff I can upload. There's the 11ish mods I prepped for my Hiatus; I can upload one or two of those if necessary. Then I can also upload WIPs for you all. So there will still be stuff going up on the page. It just means billing will continue to be paused and my replay has been delayed again.

It's incredibly frustrating, especially with how harsh 2026 has been to me so far.

But yeah, that's the current situation. I'm sorry for the past few months. However as I've just said above, it's been a rough year. I'm hoping things can get better soon. The PC situation is far from ideal, but at least I can upload something to the Patreon in the meantime. I'll also be as active on Discord as I can.

Thank you all again for the patience and udnerstanding.
