There comes a time in every content creator's life when they must ask themselves the tough questions, like "Should I get in on the video essay craze? I think I could make a good one, probably. Would that be fun? Would that be something that people would like?"GENERAL UPDATE: In case you were curious, I'm mostly focusing right now on making a video essay about Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh and how strangely progressive it was for the 90s. My first video essay, oh wow! I'm very nervous!! But judging by the general consensus of my beta-readers, it seems like the script is pretty solid?? I've categorized most of the clips I'm going to use, and I'm gonna start messing with filming and recording audio this weekend. Everyone's various words of encouragement have been genuinely and actually very encouraging, so keep that up, lol.BTW, along with this content genre-shift(?), I'm thinking that I gotta rethink/recontextualize my tier perks for this video essay??$1 - Same Stuff as now$5 - Same Stuff as now + name in the credits $10 - Same Stuff as now + Outtakes (since I'm being flakey about the actual drawing part of this tier, sadly. I couldn't get any work done on either of these projects when they were both on my plate, so I decided I had to backburner one of them so that any/either of them had a chance of getting accomplished, lol. Currently, I still intend to do Silent Hill 4, but I'm excited to try something new that seems to be a type of video people are pretty hungry to see!
