Hello, beautiful and kind patrons! WOW, JUST LOOK AT THAT ADOBE PREMIERE TIMELINE. That sure is something most everyone understands at first glance! But just in case you're not one of those people, here's what you need to know:
This video essay is gonna be like an hour and a half long, good LORD. I hope that makes you exclaim, "Ah, no wonder this is taking so long! I appreciate this!"
It's almost done(!!!!)(?)
It's mostly about providing context that the 90s were rude af to queer people (to set up why Puzz of Flesh was a real diamond in the rough in that era)
There's only a few things that need to get done:
Gotta see if I can have a chat with writer Lorelei Shannon to round this all out
Gotta record my dumb ass on a greenscreen for the parts where I'm talking, with the words actually emanating from my visible body (that's a lot of the little bright green chunks on the upper bits of the timeline! Those are filler slugs to mark where I'm probably going to have on-camera lines.)
Gotta slam some music on this thing, any requests?
E.T.A.??? Optimistically: Before the month is over, because it would be cool and topical to release this during spooky month and before election madness. Realistically: November (Or later if society collapses, but we'll see! Keep those fingers crossed! And vote for Biden even though we all hate his guts!)Any questions, concerns, etc?
