Hey everyone, and happy New Release Monday! As some of you may know, I've been working with publisher Lunch Break Heroes to create battlemaps for their newest setting, Lothburgh. Today, I am showing one of the prime, boss-fight locations: The Garrenhollow Foundry!

Lothburgh is a Victorian / Noir / Gothic / Steampunk style setting in a gritty & dark world, and is jammed packed with lore and will feature an incredible adventure. This book being created by LBH is going to be jammed packed with a full campaign setting, sub-classes, backgrounds, new magic items, monsters, equipment and a full adventure you can run at your own table. If you like stories like Sherlock Holmes, the new Frankenstein movie by Guillermo Del Toro, Gangs of New York, or shows like Penny Dreadful, you'll love this setting! You can check out the Kickstarter Pre-Launch page here.

Garrenhollow Foundry includes both an exterior and an interior location, allowing your party to plan their approach to this "boss-battle" map with caution. There are three possible entrances to go through or they can be crafty and attempt to sneak in via the overhead windows from the roof.

Once in, you'll feel the heat of molten metal as scrap is melted down and poured in green-sand molds to create gears. But in this case, the person you've been hired to find is currently being interrogated while hanging over the massive pot of molten metal! Your party only has moments to act before they fail their mission.

Each approach has their advantages and disavantages. Entering from the front doors will alert the goons inside to your presence immediately, but you can seek cover as the pistols begin to fire behind the large gear-mold crates. Sneaking in from the roof to the catwalks above allows you to get closer, but provides scarce cover from any stray bullets flying your way.

To better help with token placement, for my VTT tier, I've created an interior catwalk as a separate overlay tile so you can move tokens on it or under it (We'll filter these into the Foundry module once that is released as well).

Even if you're not playing in this type of setting, this Foundry makes for a unique location in a more industrial city, or other settings like Eberron. And I do highly recommend checking out Lothburgh and following on their pre-launch page. As someone who's been play testing the adventure and setting for a while now, I've had massive amounts of fun!

At ten maps for Lothburgh, the setting is really starting to take shape, and I'm so excited to see it grow! If you want to see an AWESOME city-wide map of Lothburgh, be sure to check out UFOs And Games, who hand-drew the entire city of Lothburgh! He also has some incredible maps for Curse of Strahd, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, and more. Next up, I have another swampy location to share with you that can be a great map for locales such as the Hool Marshes from Ghosts of Saltmarsh or Berez from Curse of Strahd. I very much want to grow my swamp collection to create tons of encounter locations for your games as your players crawl through the murk. I'll be working on locations for Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Curse of Strahd, and CoS Reloaded after that, so be sure to keep an eye out for new maps for these settings. THANK YOU as always for your continued support of my work! I could not do all of this without you all and the incredible games that you run at your tables.

Cheers friends,

DM Andy
