Oooooookay, so I didnβt expect it to look like THIS but goddamn am I pretty thrilled with how this came out πππ I made a ton of adjustments to my original sketch (which I will share below again for more easy direct comparison), while actually not redrawing it at all; sometimes a sketch it so good and considered that the only REAL issue is a bit of sloppiness that I can clean up.
I had seen a model on Insta who had taken photos in latex using a spotlight, and while I didnβt take anything directly from that image, I did adjust my techniques based on what I gleaned from it, adding a lot more of that soft lighting around her which helped her not just be a black SHAPE hahaha. Tbhβ¦ this is pretty fire. Lolll. Sometimes you just draw something and know you hit gold πππ
Original sketch
Cleaned-up black and white; notice I shrunk her hair down a little, removed a little ink shading around her neck and tits, and generally just cleaned it up a lot β I also removed the black background so I could use color, instead.
Flats; itβs so funny to me how the flat colors I use almost disappear behind the layering of colors I usually do lolll
Full color, no background; I just think this whole figure looks really good!
Let me know what you all think! Does this drawing do it for ya? Hahaha. Does this feel like another artistic step up for Ole Chlo? Or is it more of the same? I do hope you all like it and appreciate the little peak behind my process π
