So my apologies for radio silence since my last post. I have been completely exhausted dealing with a publisher who didn’t see eye to eye with what I was doing; unfortunately, this has pushed me back on all of my work, and so I am very behind! Please understand that y’all’s continued support means the world to me, even when I am running a bit ragged.
But yeah, here are my plans for projects involving both Ingrid and Anaïs:
These drawings are mostly of the version of Ingrid I’ll be drawing for my upcoming comic, Sour Times, which I plan to kickstart in October (I already have the variant cover artists lined up, and I think it’s gonna be one really sexy and crazy, if a bit depressing, book hahaha). My regular version of Ingrid is like a lovesick puppy dog, but this version of Ingrid is like an entitled, manipulative slut (who we may feel positively OR negatively about). She’s trashy and sad, but she tries to find joy by getting sloshed and fucking - so there will be lots of fucking. The book actually contains two comics — the titular comic will be written by a buddy of mine (I approached him about writing his own version of Ingrid just because I knew I wouldn’t do anything with her for years otherwise), and the second, shorter comic will be done entirely by me (I do expect this one to be happier, but we’ll see).
So I hope you are all excited about that!
And for Anaïs: next year I am supposed to have an entire collection of all of her comics published — which includes the four already finished and two completely new ones, one of which should be like fifty pages or more — as well as all my unfinished Anaïs comics, tons of sketches and pinups, and even illustrations of Anaïs by other incredible artists. I am super stoked for it; I had a major breakthrough the other day about the main comic (entitled Universals), and yeah, that comic is gonna be WEIRD. Very melancholic, very metaphysical, very erotic. I hope people like it! I have been chasing a major Anaïs story for like 4 1/2 years-ish by now, and I think this could be the one I have always wanted to tell :)
