We reach the end of the year with a fully packed month. On this occasion, both the Fantasy and Historical Tiers share a common thread: soldiers of fortune, elites fighting by contract, and the best military technology money can buy.

🔱 THE BANNERMAN – MERCENARIES OF THE FREE REALMS
"In the courts of Tiberium, it is said that loyalty is a commodity. And no one sells it at a higher price, or of better quality, than the Free Companies."
For Calling the Banners, we deploy a complete mercenary force, designed to fit into any human army (Avernia, High Kingdom) or function as an independent faction.
Freeblade Knights: Heavy shock cavalry. Dispossessed southern nobles who have traded their lands for plate armor and steel barding. They are the hammer of hired armies.
Volleygun Rivenbeak: Siege engineering at the service of the highest bidder. A 9-barrel battery inspired by experimental designs.
Design Note: The crew is multi-part and highly versatile; you can assemble them with Avernia or High Kingdom aesthetics, or as generic Mercenaries.
Paymaster's Guard: Veteran halberdiers whose sole function is to protect the company chest. In an army where morale depends on pay, they are the most important unit.
Characters:
High Kingdom Captain: A grizzled veteran with a hook and eyepatch, perfect for leading your artillery batteries or commanding the expedition.
Dwarf Paymaster: For those who prefer the security of dwarven bookkeeping.
Engineer with Pigeon Bombs: A tactical specialist to sow chaos.
⚔️ THE ADVENTURER – THE VARANGIAN GUARD
"The Pelekyphoroi, the axe-bearers. The wall of Northmen that protects the life of the Basileus."
We travel to the golden age of Byzantium to recreate its most iconic unit: the Emperor's personal guard, composed of Scandinavians and Rus.
Historical Leadership: Bolli Bollason, the famous Varangian of the Icelandic Sagas, depicted as a high-ranking officer with the Chi-Rho shield. Accompanied by a full Command Group.
Command Group: The heart of the unit. Includes a veteran officer, a musician with a war horn, and a standard bearer hoisting the Guard's bestial icon.
Varangian Guard (Mail Armour): The core of the unit. Warriors equipped with heavy chainmail, northern-style helms, swords, and round shields to form the wall.
Varangian Guard (Great Axes): The breaking force. Equipped with the fearsome two-handed Dane Axes, capable of splitting armor and horses.
Varangian Guard (Laminar Armour): The palace elite. These warriors wear the Klivanion, the expensive Byzantine overlapping plate armor, and carry imperial shields.
Scenery: Road Crux, a historical roadside shrine to add atmosphere to your tables.
