This is what we’re working on this month for Bannerman: Birdmen (rework), Varn’s Claws, and Black Coats.
The Birdmen are a rework of our previous unit, but this time they’re much tougher and more resilient. We’ve toned down a bit of the spectacle to gain functionality, because we want them to be easy to play without any drama and not the classic “great-looking but fragile” unit.
With Varn’s Claws, we’re continuing to shape the mercenary company founded by Ulric Kael Varn, a disgraced former knight of Avernia’s ducal guard who ended up in Marenstadt and built the company from scratch. In this update you’re seeing their pikemen, the core of the group.
And the Black Coats are the typical night bands of Marenstadt that families use to solve problems when paperwork won’t do. That’s why they sometimes show up on battlefields too—not as line troops, but for discreet jobs during a campaign.
From now on you’ll start seeing fully finished miniatures, not just WIPs.
