Welcome to the second part of our May releases! Today we complete the Bannerman tier with the leadership of the Tor Rufane High Elves, and introduce The Adventurer tier, focusing this month on the historical warfare of Classical Greece.
Completing the Bannerman: The Elite of the Tor Rufane Luminary
Tor Rufane is not a simple castle; it is an outer Luminary of the Empire of the Eternal Day, an enclave founded far from the core of their civilization to impose a brutal order on the untamed lands of the surface. In this society, which lives in a constant state of military reconquest to subjugate the outer world, power is not inherited in marble halls—it is proven by taking command on the battlefield.
Tor Rufane Prince on Liongryph: The Liongryph is an apex predator endemic to the Isle of Tor Rufane. For the High Elves of this Luminary, riding this beast is a demonstration of absolute dominance over their hostile environment. This miniature represents the military pinnacle of the army: a general mounted on a massive assault beast, designed to dive into enemy lines and break their cohesion.
Princess on Horse: Within the ruthless military structure of Tor Rufane, women of noble lineage hold direct command positions. Princesses are trained in tactics, strategy, and equestrian combat from childhood. This figure provides you with a vanguard commander, ready to lead cavalry charges and maintain the iron discipline of the imperial legions.
Enchantress-Lion on Horse: In Tor Rufane's doctrine, magic is not studied in isolated towers; it is wielded in the mud of the battlefield. The Luminary's enchantresses channel the power of the Root Network while riding alongside the vanguard. Their military function is direct and lethal: weaving illusions that sow chaos and terror in enemy lines, and wrapping elven phalanxes in protective auras before the clash. They wear lion pelts to make it clear that they are, above all, officers of the military hierarchy.
The Adventurer Tier: Classical Greek Infantry (Pure Historical)
For The Adventurer tier, we step away from fantasy and focus on historical rigor. This month we bring the heavy impact of ancient Greek hoplites to your tables. We have chosen a classic, versatile, and highly iconic typology, prominently featuring Corinthian helmets and linothorax cuirasses.
This release is divided into 5 blocks designed to cover all your tactical and modeling needs:
Hoplite Command Group (In Combat): The leadership core of the formation at its moment of maximum tension. It is composed of the Lochagos (captain), leading with a drawn sword, and a young ephebe musician blowing the horn to set the pace of the push.
Hoplite Phalanx (In Combat): The core troops captured mid-collision. With heavy shields forward and spears leveled, these miniatures represent the suffocating and lethal reality heavy infantry clashing.
Hoplite Command Group (Resting): The Lochagos and the ephebe in a resting stance. The officer holds his imposing Corinthian helmet under his arm while the musician rests. These are perfect miniatures for pre-battle scenes.
Hoplite Phalanx (Resting): The infantry line awaiting orders. Leaning on their spears or standing relaxed, they are ideal figures to represent reserve troops, garrisons, or to use as unit fillers in large formations.
Greek Temple in Ruins: To provide the perfect context for your ancient Mediterranean games, we have included a piece of thematic scenery. Its broken columns and ashlar walls offer broken lines of sight and excellent cover for infantry.
Rulebook Update: Calling the Banners
Finally, we have some news regarding our Calling the Banners rulebook. We have introduced several modifications to the rules based directly on your feedback so we can continue playtesting the game together.
