This video is a demonstration of Tsugaru Aiya Bushi, the song we will be working on in upcoming lessons.
Tsugaru Aiya Bushi is one of the Tsugaru Godai Minyo and is a very popular repertoire song. Compared to Tsugaru Jongara Bushi, it uses a different rhythm and scale, so listening closely to those differences is a great way to prepare before practicing.
As you watch, try to notice the structure of the song—where the Taiko sections appear, and how far the first verse goes.
And if all of that sounds a bit overwhelming, don’t worry.For now, just relax and enjoy listening to the performance!

津軽あいや節は津軽五大民謡の中の１曲で、とても人気があります。じょんがら節とは違うリズムや音階を使っているのでそのあたりを特に聴いてもらえるといい予習になると思います。どこで太鼓が出てくるのか、1番はどこまでなのかなど曲の構成にも注目してみてください。
