it's a been a confusing day for everyone down on the surface.
time got away from me a bit here, though not for the usual reasons -- I'm having such a good time trying things out and refining the details of how things look! I keep oscillating between using a brush with or without pressure sensitivity; this page has it, the last page doesn't. I think I'm leaning more towards with than without, personally.
It's a weird process: I'm not a stranger to inking by any means, but I did dedicate the first, like, six years of my seven-year career almost exclusively to working in color blocks, so by comparison I'm kind of a novice here. Ultimately the question is, what's valuable to me? When it comes to lines, I think the thing I value is a sense of calligraphy, moreso than texture or detail. Give me another six months or years and I'll be able to explain what that actually means.
