Well, it's about time I finally start sharing some details on this upcoming animation!
I can't share a lot, but this has been a project in the works for quite sometime, and I wanted to keep it mostly under wraps, but I can finally share some small details!
This project is a part of a collaboration with a few creators in the community, and you probably know them!
I've been posting very small teasers recently, and part of me hopes the message is getting across who I'm working with, but I don't wanna spoil the surprise! :)
This is about a minute long, it's not a full inflation video like I would have hoped to make, but it's all about the baby steps with this one.
This is also the first animation I'll be releasing that features my motion capture work!Not only that, it features two characters, so I kind of knocked out what I wanted to do with Re-Embarrassed, in a more abstract way, but not at the scope that I'm aiming for with that animation, I'm hoping to have around 4-5 characters in that one.
One thing this animation that I'm teasing here really taught me, was how freaking fast I can make more characters now. Although the second character in this animation isn't quite as polished as I would have hoped.I was able to redo all, and parts of the motion capture on the fly, and update and improve this animation in a way I've never been able to do before.I went through about 6 motion capture recordings just for Caroline before I landed on something I really liked, and even then, I did additional facial motion capture to really push it a bit further.It was a really fun way to work on this animation!It was super quick to iterate on, and while I was having issues with the FK>IK baking, I found a faster, better solution, that lets me retarget the animation even faster than before.
I can't really share anything else aside from that, even though I really want to, but make sure to keep an eye out in the next coming days, and I'll let you all know when the animation is out!
