This month's poll winner was the Way of the Beast monk! Honestly, nothing super fancy going on here - it's a werewolf-themed monk. Beast Blood is your flavor feature, granting survival proficiency and one cast of befriend beast per day. Rending Claws is a small combat buff, letting you reroll 1's and deal slashing damage with your unarmed strikes. Pouncing Strikes is more significant, giving you advantage if you charge around the battlefield and letting you make one attack when you Step of the Wind. At 6th, Beast Form kicks in, letting you spend ki to transform yourself. While transformed, you get a speed boost, damage resistance, and a bite attack. Pack Discipline at 11 grants bonuses to and from your allies. Your pseudocapstone at 17 is Lunar Howl, letting you cast howl of the moon once per rest and spend ki to grant targets the benefits of your Beast Form. There's also a note block suggesting modifications if you want to adjust the subclass to non-werewolf types of lycanthrope.

In general, it's a pretty straightforward subclass. It's got a little more power at 6th level (instead of 3rd) than I usually like, but to get something as impactful as a transformation feature across, I really needed the larger ki pool that comes with the higher level. I experimented with a mechanic that would function more like the Abomination, with a flexible ki cost and bonuses scaled to how much ki is spent, but it just wound up messy and didn't feel like a good fit.

As always, you're invited to come discuss and offer feedback in the comments or on Discord!
