Firebreak Dev Update #11
DESCRIPTION

Happy Easter everyone!

We're getting very close to "Content Complete" for the introductory chapter of Firebreak.

All that's left from an art perspective at this point are transition scenes to set up Chapter 2, and, well...You'll see.

While I spent the end of March on Holiday someplace warm and sunny, I did take some of that time to flesh out some of the love interest personality quirks and other attributes that sets one apart from the others, and I look forward to developing their personalities even more in upcoming releases.

Kent has been a flurry of activity, sometimes delivering as many as 50 fresh renders a day to meet the demands of a fairly thick introductory chapter.

Credit where it's due, I've asked a lot of him as we blur the lines between fictional reality, science fiction, and erogē.

Within the next few weeks, I expect we'll have the art integrated with the new framework well enough to begin doing some initial playthrough testing to evaluate flow and feel.

I already know I'm going to be asking for supplemental art to flesh out certain scenes or heighten their impact, but once we're "content complete," those amount to 3-5 renders a day in scenes we've already built, so that typically doesn't add a tremendous amount of overhead to delivery.

As of now, we are still shooting for a late spring/early summer launch. As of this moment, that seems very achievable. As we begin our test playthroughs, we'll determine what artistic, narrative, and style changes we'll have to adopt for the next chapter and make a plan to grow into them.

We're starting to get that little rush of excitement that tells us that we're over the waypoint, and we can't wait to see if we were on target.

Hopefully we have some gameplay images to share in our next update. Until then, we'll keep doing what we do, and thank each and every one of you for doing what you do!

We absolutely couldn't do it without you!
