The first fanart drop of 2026 is here, featuring many new and returning artists who have submitted their content. You guys continue to create tons of amazing stuff based on my work, and it always brightens my day when I get a new submission.
Starting off is a lovely piece from JosephVirtuoso featuring two characters from SketchyWarrior’s fanfiction stories. I really love the damascene details on the prosthetics here, which are based on sketches by the author.
Next up is some fanart of Murzka and Kevin from Rule of Three. It took her some time to warm up to him, but she’s finally giving him his treat! This is a really nice interpretation of the characters, and I love the background detail. Thank you to Neusesko for the commission and JosephVirtuoso for the art!
Jack brings us another awesome commission, this time featuring a UNN Marine and his Rask partner going toe-to-toe with a swarm of Betelgeusians! I really love the lighting on the weapons and the blood splatter here, and the texture on the Bug’s shell is just superb. Excellent work by TommytheFool.
Next up, VirgoArt brings us a steamy rendition of a Rask mercenary who appears to have found her mark. Tremendous work on the muscles and texturing here, amazing stuff. Big thanks to Neusesko for commissioning them.
Next is an awesome depiction of a Valbaran in a jumpsuit by artist Arm0da. I really enjoy the stylized look of this, I think it works really well for the Valbarans.
The Sastrugi have proven surprisingly popular even before their debut, and Whyswan brings us a lovely rendition of a swimming female navigating the frozen waters of her homeworld, commissioned by Jack.
Animator Meklab has been trying his hand at drawing lately, and he’s submitted a very nice Valbaran in a pressure suit armed with a laser rifle. I really like the stark shadows and the textured lighting on this piece.
These next two lovely landscapes were submitted by reader Smokyduck. The first features a scene of the Hades colony at sunset, with the hypergiant star dipping below the horizon. The second features Lena and Sleethe from Return to Krell out exploring the swamps of the titular planet.
Finally we have a Valbaran in profile, which is a collaboration between SpookyRockfall and KOWT. Their styles mesh very well together and I love the ink work.
