Hello everyone! First off, Happy New Year, and I hope 2023 will be an amazing year for you.

I just wanted to let you all know that since March 2021, we have been pausing or refunding any donations from you, the patrons. We really appreciate you wanting to help us, but it doesn't feel right receiving your money here! Our goal is to have this Patreon page's billing paused indefinitely, so that no patron here loses their money - they deserve to keep it themselves.

Unfortunately, in the last few years, Patreon has made it quite difficult to do this. There is no longer the option to pause the billing cycle indefinitely, so on some months, billing goes through before we can let Patreon know we don't want it to. (I have e-mailed them multiple times about this issue, but they told me it can't be fixed.)

January 2023 appears to be one of those months: in the last few hours, Patreon has started charging our patrons (you), which isn't intended. I'm trying to refund payments when I see them appear on my page, but Patreon refunds can take 5-7 business days to process. Please know that if you are charged this month, you should receive a refund soon - just hold tight!

Long term, we do plan on retiring this Patreon page, but we want to clean up some loose ends here before doing that.
