Hello! Let's go over what's been going down in Grey town~The last project vote resulted in "Golem Conversion" being voted by Patrons, and that's been my main focus since then, along with some other goodies and events."May the Fourth" had a fun celebration with the design of a carbonite cargo ship world! In the coming days I'll be adding this to the Petrification folder as somewhere you can visit and enjoy on your own, or with others.
(Photo featuring Lute and Dein-Ra's models) The "Misfit Menagerie" is an 18+ group of enthusiasts for bondage and restraint play, and I've been working with them to program some of their designs. Once the team gets stable toys to play with, they'll be shared with anyone who has the usual ASFR folders. Who doesn't like a bit of bondage along with their statue shenanigans? And please keep an eye out for future stuff with the Misfit Menagerie! Their sights are set on tying together a big community; one that's welcome to ASFR folks as well!Golems! All your spare statuary can be put to good use with a little magic. Take this spell book, and see if you can spell! A few Hebrew letters will grant your statues life and obedience to your commands. This has been a bigger project than I expected, but I think the results are quite worth it! You can try an early build of it right now in the Grey's Works folder, but it will require two people (one statue, one owner) to conduct the conversion. When it's in a completed state, it will feature a solo/self-golem mode. More experiments! That little laboratory that was used in the "The Experiment" video has gotten bigger, and become an elaborate set for practical experiments with people. Being there has made me feel like a mad scientist while I work. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about..
Also in the Grey's Works folder is "Statue Poser 2.0", which is currently a VR-only item, but it's an early design. It was used to pose every inch of the living statue (of Sylvan) you see in the picture without the need for a single inspector/menu.For over a decade I've been posing thousands of living statues, and it's always required editing. Someone has to open a menu, and do a little developer work to get arms and legs adjusted to where they're supposed to be, which can take people out of the scene/roleplay -- until now.To use the tool, you need only aim and click/hold on the limb you want adjusted, and then twist your opposite hand to make the limb rotate where you'd like it to go. It feels very organic, and lets you focus on your subject rather than your rotation quaternion values. The interface will be self explanatory when it's ready, and will include the power to pose everything the way you want it (the only exception being blendshapes/expressions, which are unique references). No more dev tools and menus. Just nicely posed statues in seconds.
In the coming days I'll put up another project vote to be my primary focus (along with finishing the Golem conversion)! Keep a look out!
