Hi guys,

As promised before, here is the follow up to the Jungle Landing Pad.

The Predator Lab is a high-tech place that was highly inspired by two shows: The Predator (2018 film) and Aliens Earth (the TV series). The spiral style layout of the lab is from the Predator movie and the terrarium and containment rooms are inspirations from Aliens Earth.

Here are some of my design notes for the map…

The top of the map features a quarantine corridor that scans visitors as they enter the lab for contaminants or prohibited items. A large viewing window looks directly into the laboratory beyond.

At the center of the facility sits a massive hyperbaric chamber, where scientists are presumably growing—or maintaining—their primary test subject.

To the south, a large panel of dark glass separates the lab from a private viewing room. When designing this space, I imagined ultra-wealthy investors seated on the other side, quietly observing where their research funding has gone.

On the left side of the map is a small office and drug dispensary, shielded behind thick reinforced glass.

The top-right section houses a terrarium. Alongside the pond and foliage, there’s a large wasp-nest-like structure attached to the wall.

If you’ve watched Alien: Earth, you already know what’s inside.

If not… let your imagination run wild. Players can be told the organisms inside are vital to the experiment—unaware that they grow rapidly and will eventually spell disaster for the lab.

Map Variants

Containment Room

The terrarium is replaced with a simple, prison-style containment cell.

BYO creature.

Lockdown

A system failure. A slammed emergency switch. Or something far worse.

The lab enters full lockdown to prevent something from escaping. Alarms blare. Tension spikes. Everyone’s on edge.

Failed Containment

Everything goes wrong.

Whatever was inside the containment room has smashed through the reinforced glass, killing lab personnel in its path. Blood trails and footprints lead south through the viewing room, marking its escape.
